By utilizing the translucency of pastel powder and adding tactile warmth of hand-rubbing, I tried to show the layers of pigment gently blending together in a single image. This allowed the visual elements to float gently, as if gravity had disappeared, conveying a dreamlike sense of temporality. I also experimented with viewing the same pastel piece in different ways using different supports, such as wooden stands or transmitting light.
